Grout needs a more targeted approach than the smooth tile beside it. A small brush helps reach the narrow lines where dirt collects.

Lersten

After cleaning: rinse and allow the area to dry

Check compatibility with the grout and surrounding tiles. Persistent dark patches or damaged sealant may need more than surface cleaning.

Toilets

For regular bowl cleaning and stubborn limescale

A toilet bowl can look dirty because mineral deposits have built up on the ceramic. Descaling helps remove this build-up where brushing alone is not enough.

Vinegar Cleaning Gel 12%

Vinegar Cleaning Gel 12% is a practical choice for cleaning and descaling the toilet bowl. Its gel texture clings to the sides, while the flexible nozzle helps reach beneath the rim. Apply under the toilet rim and leave for 10–15 minutes before scrubbing with a toilet brush.

Remember:

Use one cleaning product at a time. Never mix vinegar, vinegar gel or citric acid with bleach or chlorine-based toilet cleaners. Keep a separate sponge or cloth for the toilet’s exterior and seat.

Shower Curtains

For stains and marks along the lower edge

Shower curtains can develop stains where water and soap residue collect, particularly along the bottom. For curtains that tolerate soaking and oxygen-based cleaning, sodium percarbonate helps loosen these marks before washing.

Sodium Percarbonate

Dissolve 3 tablespoons per litre of hot water, checking first that the curtain’s care label permits the temperature and treatment. Immerse the curtain and leave to soak overnight.

The following morning, gently scrub any remaining marks with a medium-soft brush. Wash according to the curtain’s care instructions and rinse thoroughly.

Check the material and colourfastness before soaking. Between showers, spread the curtain out so it can dry rather than leaving it gathered and damp.
