Founded in 2005 by biochemist Laurent Gautun, Essenciagua is a French distillery dedicated to crafting exceptional hydrosols and essential oils. Laurent’s passion for aromatherapy was sparked during his travels through Europe and Ecuador, where he immersed himself in the art of traditional plant distillation. Leaving a corporate career behind, he designed specialized stills and forged close partnerships with local producers, ensuring every step of the process reflects care and quality.

In 2010, Dr. Magali Louis, a biomedical scientist, joined Essenciagua, enriching the company with her natural health expertise. Together, they developed Nova Aroma douce, a certified organic range that embodies the purity and therapeutic potential of nature. Over the years, Essenciagua has earned a stellar reputation, even showcasing their artisanal craftsmanship at the Élysée Palace during the “Grande Exposition de Fabriqué en France” in 2021. With a state-of-the-art, eco-conscious workshop nestled in Lozère, Essenciagua remains a pioneer in sustainable production and innovation.
