Cajeput (Melaleuca cajuputi) is an evergreen tree native to Southeast Asia and Australia. It is a medium-sized tree that can grow up to 20 meters tall and thrives in wetlands such as marshes, coastal plains, and riverbanks. Harvesting typically begins once the trees reach maturity, usually between 4 and 6 years of age, depending on local growing conditions.

In traditional cultures, Cajeput has long been associated with protection and purification. Its strong, fresh, resinous aroma has been valued in rituals aimed at energetic cleansing and renewal, and the leaves have historically been used in ceremonial practices connected to wellbeing and balance.
