1-2 drops to flavor culinary preparations. As an herbal tea: 1 to 2 drops in honey, diluted in a warm infusion.

1. Relives congestion and eliminates mucus. It can help to slow a runny nose and reduce the symptoms of allergies. Inhale lemon oil directly from the bottle.

2. Effective for cleaning multiple surfaces. Disinfect and degrease your home, car or office with lemon oil. Add it to a spray bottle of water, shake and clean tables, countertops and other surfaces. 20 drops in 500ml of water.

3. Great furniture polish. Add a few drops of lemon oil to olive oil to clean, protect and shine wood.

4. Keep your toothbrush germ free by using one drop of lemon essential oil on your toothbrush and twirling it in a bit of water to sanitize. Rinse well under running water.

5. Treating minor wounds. Fill a bowl with 90 ml of clean warm water, add 5 drops of lemon essential oil. Use a sterilized cloth dipped in the mixture to gently wipe the wound until it's clean.

6. Get rid of nail fungus. Apply 2-3 drops of diluted lemon essential oil to the nail several times a day. (Dilute: 10ml jojoba oil + 8 drops Lemon essential oil) Have patience, it may take some weeks to fully clear up.

7. Diffuse 5 drops of lemon essential oil in your office or study space to enhance mental clarity and concentration.

8. Clean and sanitize your toilet. Add 5 drops of lemon essential oil pluss 2 tablespoons (10ml) baking soda to your toilet bowl.

9. Shiny clean windows. Mix 50% water with 50% white vinegar and add 10-20 drops of lemon essential oil into a spray bottle. Shake well before using. Spray and wipe clean. Enjoy the advantage of using a chemical- and alcohol-free cleaner, so you're not inhaling chemicals.

Food dosage : 4 drops for a dish of 5 people (never exceed 2%)

Always use the essential oil diluted in a suitable medium (eg honey, vegetable oil, etc.)

Soluble in alcohol, fatty substances (vegetable oils and butters) and emulsions (creams).

Insoluble in water. It is however possible to use it as a mixture in these types of products but pre-mixed with Solubol (in this case it is necessary to put 4 times more solubol than essential oil).

The lemon tree is believed to have originated in northeastern India, northern Myanmar, and China, where early citrus species naturally hybridised. Lemon itself is not a “pure” species but a natural cross, most likely between citron (Citrus medica) and bitter orange (Citrus × aurantium). This botanical accident turned out to be a brilliant one.

From Asia, lemons spread westward along ancient trade routes. By around 200 AD, they were already known in parts of the Middle East, where Arab farmers played a key role in cultivating and improving citrus trees. The Arabs were exceptional agricultural innovators, and they introduced lemons throughout North Africa, Sicily, and southern Spain between the 9th and 11th centuries. This is why lemons became so deeply rooted in Mediterranean culture.

European sailors carried them on long sea voyages after it was observed that citrus fruits helped prevent scurvy, a condition caused by vitamin C deficiency. This practical discovery made lemons essential cargo aboard ships, further spreading lemon trees to new continents.
